Hi! I’m Tessa. I am a passionate advocate for universal access to high-quality mental health care. As a clinical social worker, my mission is to empower individuals, creating a safe space where they feel heard, hopeful, and validated, even in the most difficult moments.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan in 2021 and my Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan in 2024. I have extensive experience working with infants, children, adolescents, and parents from diverse backgrounds throughout my research and clinical career, helping them navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges.
My passion lies in working with children and adolescents to navigate stressful life situations, including school issues, interpersonal problems, and communication and emotion regulation difficulties. I strive to make my clients feel comfortable, validated, and safe. I use a person-centered therapeutic approach, working collaboratively with clients to ensure each individual’s needs are met. In my practice, I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques.
I am here to support you!
