Kimberly is a licensed Masters Social Worker specializing in helping individuals of all ages to improve daily functioning and empower them to lead a balanced, fulfilled life. Her areas of expertise include working with children, teens, and young adults, as young as five through 22 years old, who experience challenges related but not limited to: mood disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, behavior disorders, interpersonal relationships, self-esteem, and building social skills.
Kim also provides support and training to parents of children who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and oppositional/defiant behaviors, which weighs heavily on familial structures, impedes effective communication, and results in stress within the home. The blueprint for Kim’s practice is an approach that is grounded in both compassionate support and empathetic guidance.
Kimberly received her Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan and her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology also from the University of Michigan. She has over 17 years of experience working as a school social worker in both public and private school settings and providing individual psychotherapy, family therapy, crisis intervention, and parent consultation. Her work in school settings has enabled her to be a passionate parent advocate and an advisor to the State Board of Education in the area of Special Education.
