Hi, I’m Kaiya. As a clinical social worker, I’m passionate about providing high-quality, compassionate mental health care to individuals and families. I believe that meaningful change begins with strong, trusting relationships—where everyone feels heard, valued, empowered, and supported.
I understand that progress isn’t always linear. That’s why I strive to create a safe and empathetic space where growth is celebrated and setbacks are met with understanding and practical guidance. I aim to help clients not only manage symptoms but also explore and address the deeper issues beneath the surface.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University and my Master’s degree in Social Work from Wayne State University. My clinical experience has included working in a residential crisis center, supporting adults with challenges such as suicidal ideation, mood and anxiety disorders, and substance use. During graduate school, I focused on working with children, teens, and young adults in a private practice setting—helping them navigate depression, anxiety, emotion regulation, interpersonal issues, academic stress, and life transitions.
In therapy, I take a holistic and individualized approach. I draw from Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and a strengths-based framework to explore the connections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My goal is to help clients develop insight, build resilience, and apply practical skills in their everyday lives.
I’m committed to creating a validating, welcoming environment that fosters open communication and collaborative work. Together, we’ll identify your strengths, set meaningful goals, and develop strategies to support your personal growth. I’m here to walk alongside you—every step of the way.
I’m glad you’re here. Let’s take the first step together.
