Life will always come with challenges, at any stage, but the challenges adolescents face is unique and complex. Between spending important, transformative years in a pandemic and growing up in the time of social media, many teens and young adults are experiencing extreme anxiety, worry, and fear.
Through my practice as a Clinical Social Worker, my goal is to help adolescents feel supported, heard, and a little less alone as they overcome obstacles. I am passionate about helping teens and young adults find their ground and feel comfortable in their own skin. I specialize in working with adolescent girls and boys, focusing on self-esteem and confidence building. I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Leadership of Organizations and Jewish Studies from Michigan State University. I received my master’s in social work from the University of Michigan, with a focus on Interpersonal Practice and Mental Health. While earning my MSW, I completed my Practicum at Therapyology and began working as a clinician following my graduation.
My passion for helping others began many years ago as a camp counselor and supervisor at an overnight summer camp. Working at camp is where I learned that each person could reach their fullest potential when they are given the tools that help meet their mental, emotional, and behavioral needs. This experience ultimately led me to my career in social work!
In addition to my clinical work, as part of our mission at Therapyology is to break the stigma surrounding mental health, I am the Director of Camp Therapyology and one of the facilitators of the program. Oh, and one of the creatives behind our social media pages!
Both our Camp Therapyology program and social media platforms, TikTok and Instagram, we use to start the conversation surrounding all things mental health. We invite you to follow along to learn more and join us in breaking the stigma!
